Born in Baghdad, Ahmed Alsanawi and his family moved to England when he was just 9 years old to escape the threat of war in their homeland. With no knowledge of the English language, life in England was a stark contrast to what he had grown accustomed to in Iraq. After a brief stint in a local barbershop, Ahmed Alsanawi, also known as A Star Barber, managed to build a solid reputation and a sizable client base.

At the tender age of 20, he opened his first barbershop in 2013. In a remarkably short period of time, the barbershop has grown into a thriving business, catering to professional footballers and walk-in customers alike.
